Tim Burton

Jack Skellington, Batman, Beetlejuice, Willy Wonka, Sweeney Todd. Just a few famous characters from the movies of my favourite director. The dark, surreal and particular stories of Tim Burton are amazing. The Nightmare before Christmas is always an inspiration for Halloween.
Harper's Bazaar has been inspired by the Burton characters as well and the outcome of the collaboration is an impressive editorial. Sophie Srej, one of the most popular Hungarian model, is very authentic as Lydia from Beetlejuice.

A Harper's Bazaar-t is megihlette a Burton filmek rendkívüli karakterei és egy lenyűgöző editorial lett az együttműködés végeredménye. Srej Zsófi hitelesen "alakítja" Lydiát a Beetlejuice-ból.

Vogue Italia's interpretation of Cluedo / Cluedo a Vogue Italia tolmácsolásában

Mustard did it with a candlestick in the ballroom! :) I'm sure everybody is familiar with the famous board game, Cluedo. Actually, it's my favourite!
The mysterious, dark athmosphere of Cluedo inspired Vogue Italia and they asked my incredibly talented and beautiful compatriot, Enikő Mihalik to be the model in this editorial. The pictures are amazing, Miles Aldrige did a great job.

Mustár ezredes tette, gyertyatartóval, a bálteremben! :) Biztos vagyok benne, hogy mindenki ismeri a méltán híres Cluedo nevű társasjátékot. Valójában ez a személyes kedvencem!
A játék titokzatos és sötét hangulata megihlette a Vogue Italia szerkesztőit és a divatanyaghoz ki mást kértek fel, mint a hihetetlenül tehetséges és gyönyörű Mihalik Enikőt. A képek lenyűgözőek, Miles Aldrige igazán remek munkát végzett.

Every fashonistas favourite month is September. I think it doesn't need any explanation. I've posted the Harper's Bazaar editorial with Gwen Stefani previously. Now I would like to share some pictures from another photoshoot in the same issue. Barbara Palvin is the model (one of our national treasures, haha), Terry Richardson is the photographer, again.

Beside the published pics, I show some werk photos, too. Barbara is lovely when she's fooling around. :))) BTW, we receive a great tip how to prepare that wonderful, wavy hair...

Minden divatimádó kedvenc hónapja a szeptember. Szerintem ez nem szorul magyarázatra. Korábban már postoltam egy editorialt a Harper's Bazaar szeptemberi számából Gwen Stefani szereplésével. Most ugyanabból a számból szeretnék veletek megosztani egy másik fotósorozatot. Palvin Barbi (egyik nemzeti kincsünk) a modell és ismét Terry Richardson a fotós.

A megjelent képek mellett most bepillanthatunk a "színfalak" mögé is a werk fotóknak köszönhetően. Barbi egyszerűen imádni való, ahogy bolondozik. :)))

Mellesleg, remek tippet kapunk ahhoz, hogy hogyan készítsük el azokat a csodás hullámokat a hajunkba...

Iconic women: Gwen Stefani / Példaértékű nők: Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani is a phenomena, an icon, somebody who has an impact on people without any scandals. She is simply charismatic and effortless.
I'm sure that's why Harper's Bazaar US chose her for their September issue this year. The pictures were taken by Terry Richardson. The styling is perfect, as much as the make up and hair. The colors are in contrast with the white background and this simplicity is perfect with the extraordinary outfits.
She wears dresses from Alexander McQueen, Versace, Jil Sander, Oscar de la Renata, Vera Wang, the Row and Diane von Furstenberg.

Gwen Stefani egy jelenség, egy ikon, valaki aki hatással van az emberekre anélkül, hogy megbotránkoztatná őket. Egyszerűen karizmatikus és könnyed.
Biztos vagyok benne, hogy hasonló okokból kérte fel őt az amerikai Harper's Bazaar, hogy legyen a szeptemberi címlaplányuk. A képeket Terry Richardson készítette. Lenyűgöző a styling, a sminkek és a frizurák. Az különleges ruhák színei kontrasztban vannak az egyszerű, fehér háttérrel.
Az editorial-ban Alexander McQueen, Versace, Jil Sander, Oscar de la Renata, Vera Wang, the Row és Diane von Furstenberg ruháit viseli.

It's pretty bizarre.../Ez elég bizarr...

There is a huge difference between paying reverence to a well-known person and using her face (literally) for promoting something.
The August cover of Marie Claire South Africa is really strange. Well, it is more than strange, it is bizaree...
The kind reader has the opportunity to check Kate Middleton as a model on the cover page and in the editorial, too. And there's always a 'BUT'... Her head was photoshoped on different models' bodies so it looks like the Duchess of Cambridge is wearing dresses created by South African designers.

Of course it wasn't a secret at all since the magazine called it a 'Fan art tribute'. Aspasia Karras, the editor of Marie Claire tried to explane it, she said that they had prepared these illustrations to celebrate Kate, her iconic status and she added they hope this editorial has an impact on selling the creations of South African designers. What a surprise... :)

Hatalmas a különbség tisztelegni egy ismert ember előtt vagy szó szerint az arcát használni, hogy reklámozzunk valamit.
A dél-afrikai Marie Claire augusztusi számának a címlapja elég furcsára sikeredett és akkor még árnyaltan fogalmaztam...
Az olvasó megcsodálhatja Kate Middleton-t, mint modellt a címlapon és az editorial-ban is. És persze ebben  a történetben is van egy nagy "DE"! Az igazság az, hogy a gyönyörű Kate nem állt modellt a magazinnak, nemes egyszerűséggel "levágták" a Hercegné fejét és különböző modellek testéhez photoshoppolták.

Természetesen ebből nem csináltak titkot, hanem "Fan art tribute"-nak titulálták, vagyis rajongásukat próbálták ezzel kifejezni. Szerintem senki nem lepődik meg azon, hogy vegyes fogadtatása volt a képeknek és Aspasia Karras, a főszerkesztő próbálta menteni a menthetőt. Karras azt nyilatkozta, hogy ezekkel az illusztrációkkal tényleg Kate ikonikus nagysága előtt szerettek volna tisztelegni, de hozzáfűzte, hogy remélik, hogy a fotókkal fellendítik kicsit a dél-afrikai tervezők ruháinak eladási statisztikáját. Micsoda meglepetés... :)
