Makeup / Smink: Kat Von D - Poetica True Romance Eyeshadow Palette

Since I love tattoos, I've always followed Kat Von D's career during the years. I think she is a very talented artist. When she introduced her makeup line at Sephora, I became very curious. Her products are available at Sephora stores and we don't have Sephora here in Hungary. So I had to wait till 2012, when my husband worked in Seattle for a month. He visited a Sephora store with a huge list and he bought me Poetica True Romance Eyeshadow Palette. I was super excited but I do not know why but somehow I forget about this palette and I haven't even used it since then.

Mivel imádom a tetoválásokat, ezért figyelemmel követtem Kat Von D karrierjét az évek folyamán. Nagyon tehetséges művésznek tartom a hölgyet. Amikor kiszivárgott a hír, hogy saját sminktermékeket dob piacra a Sephora közreműködésével, rendkívül kíváncsi lettem. Sajnos Magyarországon nincs Sephora üzlet, ezért egészen 2012-ig kellett várnom, amikor is a férjem 1 hónapot Seattle-ben dolgozott. Egy hosszú listával a kezében meglátogatott egy Sephorát és ekkor vette meg nekem a Poetica True Romance szemhéjpúder palettát. Hihetetlenül izgatott voltam, de valahogy mégis megfeledkeztem erről a szerzeményről és nem is használtam azóta.

The packaging of the product is very cool because of the spectacular decoration. Besides the 8 eyeshadows you get an extra black eypencil, the autograph pencil.

A termék csomagolása jól néz ki az egyedi díszítésnek köszönhetően. A 8 szemhéjpúder mellé jár extrába egy fekete szemceruza is.

Unfortunately, I cannot say any more positive things about the palette. The pigmentation of the eyeshadows are weak and they are extremely dusty. The brush cannot pick up the product properly because as soon as you touch it, the eyeshadow becomes dust. I had to apply the colors over and over again.

Sajnos más pozitívumot nem igazán tudok mondani a palettáról. A púderek pigmentációja gyenge és hihetetlen módon porzik a termék. Ahogy hozzáérünk az ecsettel, alig mard púder az ecseten, helyette szétszóródik a por mindenhova. Újra és újra fel kellett vinnem a színeket, amikor a sminket készítettem.

Ez az első smink natúr szájjal.

The eye makeup is the same but I applied my favourite red lipstick.

A szemsmink ugyanaz, de itt már feltettem a kedvenc piros rúzsom is.

Candy Yum-Yum

I'm a huge fan of pink lipsticks and yes, I bought the ultimate pink lipstick on the market. It has been on my wishlist for a while and I couldn't resist anymore. The color of Candy Yum-Yum from MAC is beautiful, intense and I'm sooo sad that my not-so-professional camera couldn't pick up the color of this perfectness.

Nagy rajongója vagyok a pink rúzsoknak és igen, megvettem minden idők legpinkebb rúzsát. Régóta a kívánságlistámon szerepelt és egyszerűen nem tudtam neki többet ellenállni. A Candy Yum-Yum színe gyönyörű, intenzív és annyira szomorú vagyok, amiért a nem túl professzionális fényképezőgépem nem tudta visszaadni a színét.

This is why I prefer the black&white pics. You do not have to worry about the colors. :)

Ezért szeretem inkább a fekete-fehér képeket. Nem kell a színek miatt aggódni. :)

I've kept the eyes simple because I didn't want to fade the presence of the lipstick.

A szemsminket nem cifráztam túl, mert érvényesülni hagytam a rúzs színét.

Sajnos egy jó ideje nem volt időm a bloggal foglalkozni, ez reményeim szerint nem lesz így a jövőben. Lehet, hogy nem tudok majd napi rendszerességgel írni, de nem is lesz több hónap kihagyás...

Elég egyértelmű, hogy a kedvenc elfoglaltságom a sminkelés és rájöttem, hogy a mostanában olyan divatos Kim Kardashian sminket még nem csináltam. Pedig szeretem az ilyen drámai szemsminkeket. Úgyhogy itt volt az ideje, hogy meglépjem. Íme az eredmény:

It is pretty obvious that make up is my absolute favourite activity. When I was thinking about a new make up, I realized that I haven't done a Kim Kardashian look till now. So I prepared one yesterday and I like it because dramatic eye make up is very close to my heart. Here's the outcome:

Az elkészítése a sminknek nagyon egyszerű, mivel nem kell sok terméket használni. A kulcsa az egésznek az alapozás. Tartós és sűrű alapozót kell használni és megfelelő helyeket kiemelni és kontúrozni. Az arcom kiemelkedő pontjait - orrnyereg, szem alatt, homlokom közepe, állam - világosabb korrektorral fedtem be. Míg az járomcsont alá, az állam vonalára, az orromon két oldalt és a halántékomnál bronzosítottam.
A szem gyorsan készen lett, mert egy bronzos-aranyos színt használtam a mozgó szemhéjra, fekete szemceruzát az alsó és felső vízvonalban, végül szemhéjtust a felső pillasor tövében. Aztán jött a fekete szempillaspirál és az ipari mennyiségű műszempilla, hogy elérjem a kívánt hatást.
A számra natúr színt használtam, hogy a szem érvényesüljön.

This make up is very simple and fast because we don't have to use a lot of products. The key to the look is the perfect foundation. We have to apply a thick and long lasting foundation and highlight/contour accordingly. I highlighted the highest points of my face - nose bridge, under my eyes, middel of my forehead and my chin. While I contoured under my cheeks, my chin line, two sides of my nose and my temples.
The eye make up is pretty fast, too. I used a bronzy-golden exeshadow on my moving lid, black eye pencil to my upper and lower water line and liquied eyeliner to the roots of my upper lash line. Finally a lot of black mascara and tons of false eyelashes.
I applied nude colors to my lips so the eyes are in the focus.
